Founded in 1976 by Russ Grimes and Carol Grimes, Environmental Systems Corporation (ESC) has provided the best in HVAC services to commercial and industrial clients in the North Alabama and Southern Tennessee area.

The company was originally founded as a small two person firm primarily aimed at maintenance and piping systems to deal with environmental test chambers on Redstone Arsenal. ESC has expanded greatly in the last 35 years and the focus of company has changed as well.

While ESC still provides services dealing with the original focus of Environmental Test Champbers, the primary focus of the firm has changed over the years. Today providing turnkey HVAC systems to the defense contracting industry (and the other industries that keep Huntsville and North Alabama in business), complete mechanical engineering and design services, building commissioning, energy management and control systems, turn-key mechanical systems, budgeting services, maintenance solutions, and more.

Our roadmap to success and longevity is:

  • Our people
  • A commitment to customer satisfaction
  • The belief that honesty is the only policy
  • Continual improvement of technical skills
  • Incorporate the latest technology
  • And, always insisting on a "hands on" family touch

ESC is now transitioning to a second generation of ownership. This transition includes the belief that a woman owned business and female empowerment is necessary to move both our company and industry into the future. As a part of this we are in the process of becoming a certified woman owned business. Check back for news on this process often.
